Your Council and Vivo are working together to improve the day services and activities across Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston. We want services that are more creative, innovative and person-centred. We think these services will better meet your needs but we want to talk to you about these proposals. We are proposing to trial a range of new look services to better meet your assessed needs during the Summer and Autumn 2018. Our aim is to help individuals live more fulfilled lives and we will try a wide range of new, exciting and fun services available across our communities. At the end of the trial period, we will evaluate the new service and seek your views on whether this has been a success for you.
The booklet below provides more information on some of the services currently provided by Vivo and the activities people are supported to access. This is only the start of the journey – we want to be far more creative about the range of community –based and building-based services we can offer.
Also enclosed is a short questionnaire which we would be most grateful if you could complete and return.
However, before we start this engagement we would like to meet with you to get your thoughts on this. We wish to hold two informal discussions where everyone is invited to hear more about this approach and to have your say.
These sessions will be held on:-
Tuesday 5th June 2018 10.30 am – 12.00 and Tuesday 5th June 2018 1pm – 2.30pm at Vivo Care Choices, Lightfoot Street, Chester, Cheshire, CH2 3AD.
In addition, we will be holding an informal discussion with people who attend the Eyeopener service on
Wednesday 13th June 2018 (10.30 am – 12) at Lightfoot Lodge.
We will also meet with all service users and their parents or carers separately. This is when we can discuss your own needs and the new services that you would like to trial to see if they better meet your needs.
We will also meet with the Learning Disability Partnership Board throughout the year to get their views. In particular, we will work with the Friendship and Relationship sub-group.
