Vivo Care Choices’ Green team is still working hard across west Cheshire, supporting a number of different gardening and outdoor projects.
The Green team is made up of more than 30 volunteers from Vivo’s learning disability services, volunteering one to five days per week.
The path at Handbridge is now in place and work around the community centre is nearly completed. Winsford’s Green team, which has been working hard on the project, has received positive feedback.
With work at Handbridge finishing, the teams from both Winsford and Northwich made a start on some overgrown areas at Caldy Valley Church last week. This is a big project as there are plans to create sensory areas, raise planting beds for allotment space, and create an area the local community can walk through.
The Winsford team has also began a new project on a Monday, supporting Grange Community Primary School to help get its allotment ready for children to start planting next year. The Northwich group has also been helping out.
Work continues to keep Grosvenor Park in Chester tidy and help clear the area at Newnham Park in Ellesmere Port.
