Voices 4 Choices, an advocacy group with representatives across Vivo Care Choices’ services, recently held a successful Christmas decoration competition.

The idea was for people to create their own Christmas decorations that they could display in services or at home, using recycled materials wherever possible.

Two events were held – one for Chester and Ellesmere Port and another for Northwich and Winsford – to decide the winners of the competition in both areas.

A Voices 4 Choices panel, including people accessing Vivo’s services, made the all-important decisions.

The results from the Chester and Ellesmere Port event were as follows.

  • First place: The HLC Wombles
  • Second place: Recycled jigsaw wreath by older people day services at the Coronation Centre
  • Third place: Christmas tree table decoration by learning disability day services at the Coronation Centre
  • Special recognition: Beer bottle wreath by learning disability day services at the Coronation Centre

The results from the Northwich and Winsford event were as follows.

  • First place: Green team
  • Second place: Firdale Day Centre
  • Third place: St John’s Group
  • Special recognition: Glitter tree by Meadowbank Lodge

Well done to everyone who won and enter the Christmas decoration competition.
