Lizzy, who uses Vivo Care Choices’ supported living services, has had her hair cut shorter to support the Little Princess Trust.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been challenging for people using Vivo’s services as they haven’t always been able to get out and about in the community like they normally would.
Staff have gone above and beyond during the pandemic, coming up with innovative ideas so people using services continue enjoying life to the full.
While Lizzy has been receiving invaluable care and support over the last couple of months, she also wanted to help others and has donated three inches of her hair to the Little Princes Trust, which provides real hair wigs to children and young people who have been diagnosed with cancer and other conditions.
Michele Davies, who manages Vivo’s supported living services, said: “Lizzy is extremely proud of what she has done and would love others to do the same.
“With people’s lives changing so much over the last couple of months because of the pandemic, it’s fantastic to see Lizzy thinking about others and doing something that means a lot to her.
“It’s a lovely gesture from Lizzy that will no doubt make a big difference to young people supported by the Little Princess Trust.”
